How much is Shipping within New Zealand?
 
 

 
* Prescription only (under $100) = $2.99 shipping
* Retail - ie shop items only (under $100) = $5.95 shipping
* BOTH Prescription AND Retail items together (under $100) = $5.95 shipping
* Please note that FREE Shipping excludes Bulky and/or Heavy Parcels.
* Please note that FREE Shipping excludes Saturday Shipping - Extra $4.55 charge will apply
 

What if my order is Heavy or Bulky?

 

If your order is very heavy, or is very big/bulky, You may be charged for the extra weight/volume. If that is the case, Pharmacy Direct will contact you directly to discuss prices/options prior to charging your order.
 

Do you do Saturday Delivery?

 

Yes we do have this service available for an Extra $4.55 added to your shipping fee. Please note that this is only available in Metropolitan city areas around NZ, and also depending on stock availability. If you place an order on a Friday night or over the weekend, then it will be the following Saturday that your order will be delivered. If there is going to be a delay for any reason - one of our Customer Services team will contact you prior to your order going out.

Do you do FREE Shipping?


All orders NZ$100 and over are FREE Shipping anywhere in New Zealand*.

All orders AUD$200 and over are FREE Shipping anywhere in Australia* .
 

 

Unfortunately we are not able to offer Free Shipping outside of New Zealand or Australia. Normal International Shipping fees apply. *Excludes Saturday Delivery and Bulky/Heavy Orders.
 
Free shipping to Australia is done using the DHL or International Air Service only. If you wish to upgrade to the Economy or Express Trackable service, please contact our customer services team who will be happy to sort that out for you. Please note that upgrading to the Economy or Express Courier options will incur a shipping charge.

*These timeframes start only once the order has left our premises, not from the day your order is placed on our website. This may be due to stock availability. Working days means days during the week, not including weekend days. Please note that Pharmacy Direct has no control over the delivery times once it has left our premises.
 

* Prestige Beauty Items/Contact Lenses/Adult Toys:

These items have a delivery time of between 7-14 working days as they are either sent directly from the suppliers themselves, or they are a specialised order and we are at the mercy of waiting on the suppliers for delivery. Please note that during special holidays like Christmas, this timeframe may increase.

You can expect that your item will usually arrive at its destination within the timeframe specified for each service. Because Courierpost does not directly control all parts of the delivery chain, we can’t guarantee that your item will always reach its destination within the delivery target. Delivery to areas outside major cities, or where your item is dutiable or is held in Customs, may take longer.

 

*Delivery within NZ:

Please note that the delivery times may take longer during the Holiday seasons - ie Christmas, New Year and other public holiday dates. Once it leaves Pharmacy Direct's premises, we have no control over the delivery timeframe/courier drivers schedule.

 

*If paying by Direct Credit / Internet Banking:

All orders paid by Internet banking will start to be processed once the funds have been cleared by the bank. Payment is expected within 24 hours of placing the order. We are unable to start processing your order before payment has been received, so this may mean longer delays in receiving your order. If we have not received payment within 7 days, we will cancel your order. You are however most welcome to pop online and order from us anytime. Credit card orders are processed straight away.

 

 

Who do you use?  

 

For all parcels around New Zealand - we use Courierpost. For all International Parcels we use a combination of NZ Post, DHL, International Air and some third parties once the parcel has arrived in the country of destination.

 

Do you deliver to PO Boxes/Rural/Private Bags? 


Yes we deliver to PO Boxes, Private Bags and even Rural Areas within NZ.

 

 

 

Do you have to sign for the Parcel? 

 

Yes. Pharmacy Direct uses 'Signature Required' for all of our national parcels which is covered by insurance if it is lost or damaged. If you choose to have the parcel sent out 'no signature required' or instructions to leave it anywhere on the property, this parcel is then not covered by insurance and will not be replaced or reimbursed by Pharmacy Direct if lost/damaged or stolen. You will need to contact Courierpost directly to pursue.

 

Orders over $100 retail price are not eligible for 'non signature' courier shipping. If you have requested 'non signature' and your order exceeds $100, you will be contacted by one of our customer services team to change that order to signature required. No exceptions. All Prescription orders MUST be sent out signature required.

 

Can I leave a note for the Courier? 

 

Pharmacy Direct forwards all messages to the Courier Driver on the Delivery notes - however because we do not directly control all parts of the delivery chain, we cannot guarantee that the Courier Drivers will action the written requests. This is beyond Pharmacy Direct's control.

 

 

 

What if my International Order gets stuck at Customs? 


Individual countries have various laws for importation of medicines, therefore it is your responsibility to check your country's legislation for any items prohibited by any law, regulation or statute of any country or state to, or through which the items may be shipped.

 

Pharmacy Direct will not accept any liability or make compensation payments for loss, damage, delayed delivery or parcels halted by customs for containing any prohibited items. From time to time shipments are held by customs and subject to inspection fees - Pharmacy Direct is not liable for these fees.

 

If for any reason your International order is not allowed into your country and Customs returns it to us, then once we have received the parcel, we will refund your order - not including the original shipping fee. The parcel must be back at our premises physically before your order will be refunded. Our Customer Services team will contact you when it has arrived back safely.
