Many people believe that a healthy diet can't be a tasty one - that
simply isn't true. There's also a tendency to categorise food as either
a good food or a bad food. It is important in your new life that you
can still enjoy food. A heavily restricted diet doesn't do anyone any
good. Dietitians have been trying to eliminate the concept of good and
bad foods and encourage people to appreciate that all foods can be part
of a healthy diet. It's all about balance and moderation. You can still
have fat foods, as long as they're not dominating your diet. Special
occasions should be enjoyed, and they should be guilt-free. You just
have to 'make room' for those foods by choosing low-fat, low-sugar
varieties wherever you can. If the majority of your food is low-medium
fat, then the occasional high fat food will do no harm.

enjoying fresh and healthy food. Take a trip to a fresh produce market
on weekends and buy your 'allowed foods' there instead of the
supermarket. |
