1. Blow nose gently to remove excess mucous.
2. Remove protective cap. Give pump a test spray in the air.
3. Insert nozzle into one nostril.
4. Fully depress pump 1-3 times while breathing in through nose.
5. Repeat in other nostril.
6. Repeat as required or as directed by a doctor.

Rebound nasal congestion’ (medical name Rhinitis Medicamentosa, or RM) is a condition bought on by the repeated and extended use of medicated decongestant sprays with ingredients such as oxymetazoline or phenylephrine, which contrict the blood vessels in the lining of the nose. When use is discontinued, the nasal passages swell up again, even if the original illness or irritant has passed.

Unlike medicated decongestant sprays, saline based sprays may be used freely and won’t cause ‘rebound’ congestion after days of repeated use. They moisturise sore inflamed sinus passages, removes excess mucous and helps flush away invading pollens and viruses. Most saline sprays are safe to use for children from infancy – but check with your pharmacist.
