Adaptic Non-Adherent Dressing 7.6cm x 7.6cm - Single
ADAPTIC® Non-Adhering Dressing is a primary dressing made of knitted cellulose acetate mesh, impregnated with a specially formulated petrolatum emulsion.
The unique mesh of ADAPTIC® protects new tissue and minimises pain at dressing change by reducing the risk of tissue adherence to both ADAPTIC® and the secondary dressing. It also allows easy passage of exudate to the secondary absorbent dressing, thus minimising the risk of pooling and maceration.
HOW TO USE
- Place ADAPTIC® dressing directly over the wound and smooth in place around the wound.
- Cover ADAPTIC® with a sterile secondary dressing.
- Choose the secondary dressing based on the level of exudate.
- Dressing change frequency will depend on the condition of the wound. ADAPTIC® may be left in place for several days depending upon amount of exudate.
When to use it
ADAPTIC™ Dressing is indicated for dry to highly exuding wounds where adherence of dressing and
exudate is to be prevented including:
